IATF 16949:2016 Automotive Standard

The automotive/motorcycle industry is one of the most demanding in the world. Car manufacturers require to their suppliers to have process under control, to understand the specific needs of each customer and to focus on continuous improvement.
With the view to a continuous improvement, Welt Electronic’s partner AMTEK obtained international recognition of the specific IATF 16949 standard.

IATF 16946, which is based on ISO 9001 and the national automotive quality standards, can be easily integrated with other management system standards. While ISO 9001 focuses on customer satisfaction, IATF 16949 focuses on customer specific requirements about the continuous improvement, the defects prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. It enables an ongoing process to help define, report and improve relevant areas of the management system and pertinent business process.

AMTEK, by achieving IATF 16949 certification, shows to has met a wide range of requirements for the creation of a continuous improvement process, with an emphasis on defect prevention and on reducing variation and waste in the supply chain. The datasheets are implemented for all supply chains of manufacturers and suppliers of treatment products or materials, services such as heat treatment or galvanizing and other specific products from automotive customers such as vehicle constituent parts.
